With over fifteen years of teaching and performing experience, Jane has combined her love of music with education, and brings her trombone and ukulele to add to the fun.

In creating Jam with Jane, Jane has combined three of her great loves – music, children and fun!

Jane has composed all the songs for her show, and she uses them as a means of storytelling, teaching and involving the children in a musical experience.

Some of the songs are solo performances, but during the others, Jane encourages the children to join in, using the percussion instruments which she provides. She helps the children to find the beat, and teaches them about musical ideas such as length of notes (long/short), pitch of notes (high/low) and intensity (loud/soft) of notes.
She also demonstrates the use of the percussion instruments (maracas, castanets, bells, woodblocks etc).

Jane has been teaching for over fifteen years, both privately and in schools, and she brings this depth of experience to her program. She combines her education training with years of acting and performing to bring this musical adventure to life.

Jane uses a piano or keyboard as well as her trombone and ukulele, all of which add to the fun.
